How to Use This Site

Step-by-step guidance for students on how to navigate class resources, submit work, find assignments, and use this website effectively.

Using This Website

Bookmark this page so you can always find your way back. All site sections are accessible from the top navigation bar on every page.

    Navigate Using the Top Menu

    Every section of the site is in the navigation bar at the top β€” About, Rules, Training, Health, and so on. Click the name that matches what you need.

    Check Weekly Updates First

    At the start of each week, visit the Newsletter page. This tells you what is happening in class, upcoming tests, and important reminders.

    Find Your Assignment

    Written or online assignments are on the Webquest page. Make-up work for absences is always on the Absence Work page.

    Download and Complete Worksheets

    Click any resource link to open the file. Print it or complete it digitally, then submit to Mr. Austin in class or via email.

    Use Webquest Links

    Webquest assignments include links to specific websites. Open those sites, read the information, and complete your assignment. Use only the provided links.

    Try Interactive Fitness Activities

    The Interactive Fitness page has videos and tools for use at home or in class. Great for extra practice or make-up activity.

    Submit Work to Mr. Austin

    Submit in class, place in the assignment tray in Room 114, or email to laustin@hphs.edu. Always include your full name, class period, and date on every submission.

    Contact Mr. Austin With Questions

    Email Mr. Austin or visit during office hours (7:30–8:00 AM, Room 114). He responds within 24 hours on school days.

I was absent. What do I do?
Go to the Absence Work page. Find your class period, locate the week you missed, and follow the instructions. Submit within 3 school days of returning.

Where is this week's assignment?
Check the Newsletter for what is due. Written assignments are on the Webquest page. Make-up work is on the Absence Work page.

I can't open the PDF. Help!
Make sure you have a PDF reader (Adobe Acrobat Reader is free). If you still have trouble, email Mr. Austin and he will send an alternative format.

How do I check my grade?
Grades are posted in the school's student information system (SIS). Log in with your school credentials. Disputes must be addressed with Mr. Austin during office hours.

I don't have internet at home.
Speak with Mr. Austin right away. The school library has computers before and after school. Many assignments can also be printed for hand completion.
❓
My parent wants to contact you.
Parents can email Mr. Austin at laustin@hphs.edu or call the school's main office to schedule a conference. Office hours are Mon–Fri, 7:30–8:00 AM.
